Eternity Stands Guard
quote by Phyllis McGinley (1905-1978)
“Time is the thief you cannot banish”

Eternity waits:  Your end, tyrannish.
“Time is the thief you cannot banish.”
Days then weeks begin to vanish;
whole months stolen in a span
as your brain turns to bran.
You don't remember
whence December.
Who am I
to die?
Aye.

Time Is but, A theif too Sly for its age, Stealing away all the seconds in one's Life, Making it shorter by each day, time With stealth, begets Eden in, It's own, Nest.

time doesn't halt. unconcerned it steals the breath, moments, and sunshine as it ticks onward. still, the nights grow cold and the stars shiver, summer goes and winter comes, days fade out. 11/7/2020 Writing Challenge - Quote Inspired - Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Constance La France

Time a Thief
"Time is the thief you cannot banish" Phyllis McGinley, Writer,  1905 - 1978
If we use each second judiciously  just think what all we can do in a day! If we are happy every moment, much happiness we  can gather  in a  day! ~~~~~ No  one can  steal even  a second from our life if we don't allow. Tomorrow is uncertain, death again uncertain. It is wise to make the best use of time. Date: 11/11/2020

the sands flow steadily through the hour glass can't be stopped~slowed drifts grain by slow grain drips goes until the chosen end, emptied out where the soul goes is up to your choosing
