Darling eyes I can't resist
Soft hands I caress and miss
Your heart that sings I sire
Pillows you throw slings like lyre
crossfire

Caught in the crossfire
He bought a Greek lyre ( we must admire)
He harped on and on–a liar
Form:
Days meander,
Gush of time pours its song
As the lyre of flowing rills,
A new Spring sounds forth
In dreams of remembrance
With warmth of teeming will
Form:
A love that:
Flows so sweet as
ambrosia from Hebe’s
ladle to the cup of
Heracles
or nectar saccharine as
Apollo’s lyre,
carried by doves!
to the heavenly feast
If you say the music comes from the lyres,
Why is there no music from the lyre in case?
If you say the music is on the tips of fingers,
Why can’t you enjoy music at your finger base?
(Tran.)
you know the song in my heart
you knew it from the very start
music by angels' lyre played
strings of gold, love portrayed
you know the song in my heart
instilled the day we met, our start
Poet is the eyes of crying world
Poet and the words
Of aching heart
yard Melancholy tackled in tact
Poet is the voice
Of laud in glory of crowd
Poet is a lyre in love
When the heart is stringed hard
Form:
Quick like fire
Burning desire
Is a pseudo-sire
Playing a lyre
Breaking a wire
By greased tire
Stepping in mire
Looking at a pyre
It’s all looking dire
Quick like fire
Burning desire
Russell Sivey
My poetic lyre
may not be resplendent
of glory,
but the magic flute of
my poetry becomes delight
and rises out of euphoria
denotative art form... !
Nature's first child with nature's passion blend
Ornated flower where the sun's passion rend
Religious things from the flawed hand of men
Melodious to hear, to dance but never bend
Astute wonder that from Orpheus' lyre descend
With pastels in hand,
I paint the life of the sea...
in sunny Capri.
Giant Cyclops settled here,
and fishermen still fear them...
legends become real.
Mermaids sing with lyre,
luring them in your cold deep...
as images appear.
The detour of a certain age
Is quashed in tides of fire
And forever is the youth gone pass
As on the strains of lyre.
Make no whisper none is heard
Amongst the thread-like silk
For sweet is yon meadow-lace
And forever, is the milk.
The Piper of destiny
calls from the unknown
Without lyre or harp,
his truth so intoned
All sirens left deafened,
tumbling over themselves
As a choir of Angels
—from his flute are bespelled
(Villanova Pennsylvania: May, 2019)
She lies, tan gentle lines and curves so sharp
she pairs her heart horizontal to zero
But she can't ignore the signs anymore
For a symptom hopes a cure will appear
Strum soft sweet chords on wire lyre strings, we come
Together to throw arc shadows on walls
On white paper,
I pour all mine
delirium...
On white paper,
my lyre weaves
love bows, and
pour all
daydream...
On the white page,
write with yours
body, fresh story
of love...
And in the cosiness
from interlinings
my bland soul
I deliver to you...!
On white paper,
I pour all mine
delirium...
On white paper,
my lyre weaves
bows of love, and
spills all
daydream...
in your white body,
I write with my
body, novel story
of love...
And in the coziness
from the interlinings to
my gentle soul
I offer you...!
Likely story,
"Lyres" lie,
Looking angelic,
Laughable really.
Lively defense,
Lovely lawyer.
Loads of evidence,
Loose lips,
Lots of blood,
Lost cause.
Let the "lyre" go?
Lovely angels say, "No"!

Breaking thru the clouds
with the power of light
as a song bird sings
untill the night
healing the wounded
as a chariot thus fly
plucking his lyre
as he opens our eyes
this oracular God
whom can heal or kill
protecting the sun
with a musical gun.
Sing me a song
I LOVE YOU
Make my day
sing me a song

Harp it
Lyre it

Making eternity
out of a moment
Escaping
the pretense of time
Beginnings
and endings
Falling away
in one enduring rhyme
Making eternity
bend to my will
An Angel
comes to dance
Wings on fire
Horae's lyre
The instant christened
—another chance
(The New Room: June, 2023)
The lyre and moonlight cascading.
Tri-dancer transposes shadow.
On tiptoes, gracefully gliding,
The lyre and moonlight cascading.
The artist’s pen twirling, shading
His starlit dream…a stellar show.
The lyre and moonlight cascading
Tri-dancer transposes shadow.

Praise god, raise your voice and music
Take violin and lyre with harp
Or trumpets and sound of ram’s horn.

Erato
Each of the nine Muses
Endeavor to inspire.
Erato, lyre in hand,
Engages with men's minds,
Elegantly with words ...
Each phoneme, each pattern
Encourages lyrics.
There sits the dreamer
Isn’t he a fool
As he perches upon the balcony rail
And stares into the black oblivion
Companioned with a soulful lyre
Whose notes when strummed cause the stars to cry
The half moon rising with a rusty glow
Shading half of the old mans face
Sitting strumming
Envy the man
Who dares to dream.
Form:
What do I wish for my wild heart?
In this trail is the finest art.
That is why I am almost there
With Lydian lyre and lore, or more
Cher sings her effectuated soul,
Discerning hearts excite the whole.
