Limerick: Once a tight Lobbyist in real pain

Once a tight Lobbyist in real pain
Tried in vain to get his M.P.’s gain
So his Secretary
A laced Bloody Mary
Pumped M.P.s to P.M. to take reign.

Premium Member But Seriously
“But seriously”
Said the mouse
“I don’t eat much.”

“But Seriously”
Said the Lobbyist
“It won’t cost much”

“But seriously”
Said the Congressman
“How much is too much?”

“But seriously”
Said the toddler
“do you not know what happens

Mandated By Another's Maxim
Side stepping love's starfish sun bathing about, time's shores....
While amoeboid parasites these sponges in resilient, take up residence

to the labor exploitation of not only adults, but also children,
abroad and here, in my own nation.
Lobbyists are at the core of government corruption....

Oxymoron of the Millennium
I was a good, honest taxpayer
That nurtured a moral dilemma.
Why should I perpetuate
The state I’ve grown to hate?

Subject to the authority
Of a fluctuating majority
I refuse to comply
You can accept, I’d rather die.

To be truly honest
Why vote in a rigged contest?
Plant free trees in a forest
Felled by the loudest lobbyist.

A good, honest player
Pays the public piper
Of their own free will
Or swallows the pipers pill.
