Dewdrops
We are born but dewdrops on the green – JOTS IN THE BOOK OF LIFE
And may weigh down our leaf and fall into the dirt – THE EARTH WAITS TO RECEIVE US
Or in time take Elijah’s invisible chariot into the heavens – AMEN...

Lit Candles
Candles flicker like a lover's whisper,
tickling walls with whimsical illusions,
becoming purer, becoming crisper
with cinnamon swirled laughter fusions.

Sevenbits -Diary
From her thick, littered journal
Notes of passion burn with love
Against clangs of dinnerware---
Till hours roam into near morn
Her spouse digging through work’s pile.
Upstairs, she jots tender lines
Dreaming of intimate nights .

Words Tell
Peace plays

Sunset of the Mind

Reflections
Ferry on the river;
‘Copter in the sky.
Bicycles and scooters
(Some with bells!) all pass me by.
Joggers pound the pavement;
Walkers simply stroll.
Benches are deserted.
(Recent raindrops took a toll.)
Still, I’m out here sitting,
Checking out the scene,
Feeling not quite up or down
But somewhere in between.
As my trusty pencil
Jots each thought upon a line,
It helps record reflections
Found within this mind of mine....

March Promises
Dogwood trees are now in bloom,
jots of color in winter's gloom,
white and plum and palest pink,
against gray backdrops, out of sync.
How I love the month of March!
Like silk opposed to winter's starch.
Robins bounce across the grass,
a sign, for sure, that winter's passed.
The winds of March soon sweep away
all that's dull and brown and gray.
A child of March, I feel reborn,
as Spring flies in, on Marchwind's-borne.

My Eternal Grief
In sullen silence
darkness looms my thoughts
writhe with your absence.
My eternal grief.
A maze existence
till heartens soul rots,
ill vex incumbrance.
Longing your essence,
lumbering time jots
muffle remembrance.
My eternal grief.

Superiority
Ignoble though our dawn of days,
yet intoned is worthy praise
of legion minds whose reasoned grasp
has ever roared at starry heaven’s
distant vault—Omniscience’
mighty pillars to confound.
Yet I hesitate and wonder,
if we alone proud mantle don
to reason and opine,
or whether listens now
on curved space’
strange and distant shore
an ancient, brooding mind
who jots it all on pages
of a tiny book it is
writing about us.
