Hearty Beef Stew

Hearty beef stew
Beef bullion fondue
Carrots not a few
Diced taters imbue
Beef chunks to the brew
Salt and pepper to
Accentuate!

Poetry

Pour with will your molten soul
On lyric molds that is your art
Every beat of hammers bold
To shape, imbue, impart
Rhymes ring true in that honest forge
Your heart

- Haiku X 287 - the Storm's Eruption -

                                     imbue the stillness
                                    dimensional collisions -
                                        restless state of mind

Rip Jerry Lewis

The laughter and joy

This man did imbue us

Is vast beyond measure,

Our Dear Jerry Lewis ...

Oh, hearken the birds

Their new song of sorrow

For now we know why

Sol goes dark tomorrow.

Moist

This parched expanse
of forlorn loss
begs my soul to
venture across
the cracked terrain
of cold disguise
to imbue dew
within those eyes:
a miracle
of splendid vim
that wets all threats
within our swim.

Tick, Tick, Tick

Knowing the answer,
excuses imbue

The right thing for others,
 never following through

A feigned double standard,
the past in pursuit

Reckoning scheduled
—payment en route

Departed

Another burial....
                   ... condolences,
deep emotional feelings
grieving hearts imbue jeweled kinships,
lasting memories,
needing obituaries
peace, quietude, rest
succumb to undertaker
vestiges withered
'xpired, yielded.

Fate

Quatrain #735:
FATE

Feel dream come true as thought moves quest,
Apt fate pays due as heart lives fest;
Thrill here on cue the path of love,
Etch and imbue wit that sculpts zest.

Master Artist

The hand that paints the sky bright blue And hangs the sunlight to imbue The earth and bring forth many hues Is one that rules, is one that rules When in repose at end of day The hand that rules is not at stay Somewhere on earth he paints away In colors gay, in colors gay ~*~

Efflorescence

The efflorescent dream to imbue
my opulent languor,whose ripples
vestigial,untoward,hissing,waving
the dalliance quite sneaky peaky.
Is it the murmur of a mellifluous song
yet to be sung by the divine entity!
Is it the penumbra of an ethereal beauty
soothing my bosom with its eternal charm !

Left To Weather

Raping the sky of its luster,
a new darkness began to imbue

Draining the ocean—taking its salt,
a pillar for Edith renewed

Shearing the top off the mountain,
its crater to hemorrhage and bleed

Stealing the promise from every hope
all faith left to weather—unfreed

True Blue, Dinky-Di

Sky is blue, sea is blue
Wind blew blue waves up bijou
White queue of waves and clouds skew
The dinky-di blue brew with icing goo

Yellow and green mixed as glue
Makes true blue spew for you
To dab on pew, view, canoe and shoe
To worship the true blue hue anew
A color treat, a fondue imbue, chew
For blue, I'm so fond of you

Song of Love

Trees
 sway
 gently
 in the wind
 as twilight descends,
 marmalade hues imbue the sky
and as the golden orb dips below the horizon
Luna rises to a twinkle of stars, and a song of love drifts on the moonbeams

Marigold

A Rose Tears the Earth open And grows peach petals, Resembling a sunrise shining On indigo canvas, penetrating the sombre Sky with downy rays of marigold to brush away nocturnal inky reveries, Enticing the world to open its eyes and inhale the moment, beckoning bright hues to imbue the cosmos with crystalline vibrancy.

Eternity In A Telescope

We're all searching for eternity —
To, in holy book or telescope, someday see
A version of everlasting me
Hanging in the heavens of some infinity.
That we can with, in spite of, or through
A hand of god, philosophy, or science, imbue
Meaning or truth to take us beyond
This pale, blue dot we now find ourselves upon.

Moments Memory

All at once it came...
The thought...your name...
with memories of yesteryear...
of loving things we shared so dear...

As hearty thoughts imbue awhile...
so borne of words bring a smile...
for moments memory to relive the past...
as mindful thoughts share words so cast....

By inspirations as words play......
a wistful lingo of poetry.

Dark Coal of Night

Moonbeams, morning’s prophet,
Chase coal of night
Into wombs of white fire
As flames imbue
Dreams with clarity’s gems
Facets of light,
Glittering stars of dawn ~
Diamonds of dew.

To a Flamingo

Oh, fabulous flamingo, you step out of the haze, feathered in your cotton-candy glaze. And imbue joy to my days as I observe your whimsical ways. Extraordinary, you never cease to amaze, as your legendary pink fuels scientific essays. A splendiferous bird worthy of praise, uniquely beautiful, you hold my gaze. (Monorhyme/ Ode) 10-05-2020

Memories

At early dawn, the view’s superb.
Sat upon my bed scrolling thru
My phone’s pictures, I got perturb.
Your brightest smile widespread imbue,
On obituary reverb.
Life seldom gives joy alone too,
So I’ll cherish your life reverb.
With tears of peace, I will construe,
Your gallant life acclaim the verb
Of possibility pursue,
Peace of divinity superb,
Giving hope in painful adieu.

The Harlot

Mid Uzi shots from vacant lots, which strike and ricochet
A painted girl with flaxen curl (named Wendy)’s on her way
To tantalise with half-clad thighs, to trick again today;
And indiscreet along the street she gives her pride away
To any guy who’s passing by with cash and time to pay.

In concert halls, beyond the sprawls 'round shabby cabarets,
unjaded thoughts of Camelot imbue divine ballets.

Abdication

This,
was the matter of non-matter,
permeating in every pore, cell,
thought. An elusive,
connection to unknown.

You,
want to create a Grail
to receive the blood, of heaven
to imbue,
the dark space.

A chilling,
belief to confer,
a glorified name to astigmatism
without the consent
of the eye.

Arboreal,
the naked soul
renunciates all the fruits
and departs for
another sky.

Autumn Fire

Autumn's song kindles the flame
    To set the leaves ablaze
Crimson glows and golden hues acclaim
The fervor that burns with autumn days
 It meanders to other domains
And lights the forest with beautiful refrains
A rhapsody of colors moves on high
As fire opal tints imbue the sky
The scene satisfies the soul's desire
Showing off the splendor of autumn's fire
                           ~-~

Purple Hue

Today the clouds have a purple hue,
Not like yesterday when they were blue.
Does the purple hue bring gloom and doom,
Or does it imbue a hint of pink in view?

The clouds have flattened,
And lost their cumulus shape.
Now exhibiting a lenticular view,
Still exposing the purple hue.

It appears something could be hidden,
Inside the disc-shaped cloud.
Could it be something from afar,
Just visiting to see how we are?
