Lifeline
Instead of calling
the suicide hotline,
you make an appointment
to get a haircut:

you know that your sense
of responsibility
won’t allow you
to stand up your stylist.

From my collection "The Eden of Perhaps".
NOT written during, or related to, the pandemic....

Suicide Hotline

Ring
Ring
Ring

Click

Yes?

Just breathe.

In
Out
In
Out

Talk when you
Are ready

Put down the pills
Please

Throw away
The blade

Cut the rope
Into tiny pieces
If it makes you not afraid

Silence

Hello?

Beep
Beep
Beep

Call Ended....

My mind won’t let me stop!
Make my head stop thinking about it!
Make me stop these thoughts

Make the thoughts disappear
before I hurt myself!!!

Child's Play
When a toy requires assembly,
There is danger up ahead
For it never will be easy -
Doesn't matter what they said.

If instructions come in pictures,
Then this warning you can double,
'Cause deciphering them wrong
Will likely get you into trouble.

With three phone calls to the hotline,
We're still stuck on step eleven.
Anybody who can do this
Sure deserves a place in heaven....

Premium Member A Hot Soup
Corona has made a hot soup
caught us unawares, in a coup
a hothead.

We love to touch, hug eachother
enjoy our drink, chat together
with hotdog.

This weakness Corona exploited
mutating, making us doited
a hotrod.

Wanting to do damage contain
caregivers hurried, to maintain
a hotline.

Humans' old habbits die very hard
older and sick, it did bombard
as hotbed

A Whiteboard On a Refrigerator
A local doctor’s contact number
Few grocery items,
Some fun wish lists were also there..
Blow bubble, coloring pens
and request for balloons.

There were some detailed writings
In the neat handwriting of an 8-year-old
What and how
She is offering her services
And her expectations, though.

On the corner, there
Was a tollfree number,
A hotline number to prevent suicide
Under all those happy and wishful items
Still a little figure, an un-erased one....
