Home be it where your heart is at peace
Rather than a fixed position on a map
Home is where your heart finds its joy
Rather than an ideation of a house
Rather than thoughts of brick on mortar
Rather than thoughts of a smug family
Home is where you are contented in spirit
Rather than the constant missing I do feel
Home I will make it where my body abodes
Home my heart yearns for, Am a Sojourner

As the stars
begin
to appear in
the night sky
the snowfall
continues
unique snow
crystals fall from
heaven
We're happy
to watch the
whiteness spread
over the land
Taking a deep
breath of the
night air
we head homewards
Tomorrow it will
be difficult
to get around
But the
snow looks so pristine!
The
trees are hung
with snow
And so, we;ll
take in the sight
of a world of
white
A proud city in utter ruin
So many heroes slain
A fleet sailing homewards
Loaded with noble captives
Destined for slavery
After a ten years' siege
Prompted by a king's wrath
Over his wife's succumbing
To a young prince's charms
Which won her heart,
Himself bedazzled
By the fineness of her form.
They fled his kingdom
For the prince's own
Out of that love tryst
Tragedy grew
To leave pristine white sands
Stained with blood
And all because of beauty.
