Railroaded

I wish you well
In your brand hew house
Are the trains very loud?

Gripping Views

In tender times we always live
the boundless mystery
newly-found
Regret returned
and now coloured light...
In this
a child shall hew a tender chain
On moving sands these
gripping views shall strain..

Before God

Is it moderation called for

Perhaps when with man

Clerihew

Edmund Clerihew Bentley,

practiced his craft so intently.

This clever creation still echoes in halls,

outlasting his pricey education at St. Paul’s.

When I read the WIKI'd the 411 on Bentley, I as enthralled. His "HEW" on Sir James Dewar is a classic.

All Shall Fade

All shall fade,
  till the stars all aline,
till the coming of the sun.
All shall be afriad,
  if the troops all fall,
if the enemies hew us up again.
All shall fight,
  till the battle we win,
till the dawn of the days.
We all shall fade,
  till all is won.

Premium Member Daily Approach

Let me think for a moment,
Instead of jumping into high gear,
Speeding into the daily tasks,
Then wondering what I missed!
In those first morning moments,
Calm down, reflect on the gift that has been given.
Listen while this home is still quiet.
Everything will take on a different hew.

The Display By Birds

The display by Birds(Limerick alliteration)

Heron helps the hen to hew a house dock,
This propels parrot to peak the peacock,
which fights fowl to the marrow,
Thrush sings songs of the sparrows,
Delightful to my dear deluded duck.

Each Day
Diminished Hexaverse
By Franklin Price
1/2/2016

Each day the morning
Sun arises new
Moisture on the bark
On the grass is dew
Sky a pinkish hew

Sometimes look west
For moon to see
Through bare branches
In winter be

Chill in air
Downright cold
Day is fair

No snow
Must go

Now

Alabaster

White pumpkin
You are pale in the patch
How can you make Trick-Or-Treaters gasp?

Are you a ghost or a ghoul?
Or are you just a pretty pearl?

I will carve you and make you a frightful sight
A candle to make you glow in the night
A sinister grin and cruel eyes are in place

I now love your ghastly alabaster hew

Nothing But Darkness

so think about the things
that we will have to struggle through
darkness
nothing but darkness
no sun to gaze no painted hue
so many people are sure to falter
at this most treacherous of plights
those who are the stronger
will see the dawn of a new light
for those not strong enough
there is mercy
And there is life
someone will pick them up
and carry them away from the strife

The Future

Abraham Lincoln once said
The best way
To predict
The future
Is to
Create it.
He also said
That if he had six hours
To hew a tree
He would spend four hours
Honing the axe
And two hours
To cut the tree.
The World is spending
Vast amounts of time
Effort and money
Honing the dagger.
What beast
Does the world
Want to slay?
What future does the World
Want to create?

Hungover

a little light in the eye searches for the illusion.

grain alcohol filled apparitions stumble through the cornea
seeking asylum from the light of day.

no chance to forget now your birthplace a moment ago.

thin thin gravity round your head...

a little darkness in a pair of sunglasses
blinds the eye...... tints the bent hew.

indiscrepant frames pass and wander away
before the color can be deciphered.

Today's Menu

Whew-hew! What is new? I'm waiting to see what's on the menu.
It's almost 2:00 P.M. Don't be late. Unfortunately, through some unfortunate
events , we have to meet like this, due to things concerning a specific date.
I hope not to expect what you did last year. Please just say something. Don't do
what I wouldn't do. You stood me up at a fast food joint, having me look like a fool.
Can I expect the same thing? Now what's for today's menu?

Nothing needs nothing
Something seeds something

Savvy silly strokes
Pretty picture pokes

Nothing never new
Hurling hurting hew

Jumpy jerky jokes
Bubbly blooming broke

Timely telling tale
Savvy stalking sale

Mindful moments miss
Brightly bursting bliss

Being brings blessings
Ample aid asking

Live laughter loudly
Plunder points proudly

Senses sight-seeing
Start sweet sad something

SOMEWHERE

Somewhere near, somewhere far is my love
For I do not know where
They live, but I cannot find.
They are loving, kind and true.
I can feel them under every dew
Like the mourning hew, they make me feel anew.

Their melody is like the sound of the morning bird
They have the soft sound of every nice mood
They have a hue of beauty that lights them up
Making them shine morning to night
Somewhere out there is my love, for I shall dream of them till they appear in my sight.
