Premium Member Only Sometimes
Sometimes it is all too much

Overwhelming

Too heavy a load

Sometimes uncertainties

Weigh the soul down

While venturing life’s road

Only sometimes ….....

Purging Soul
The night falls heavy, A suffocating cloak,

Cold, and alone am I.

The light for which I pray flares once, then dies, swallowed by the abyss all hope must die.

My being craves no more.

How could I understand?

My darkest thoughts surrounding me,

Crying,

I am fallen....

Perseverance
O the ashes as they burn my back. Relentlessly falling down a never-ending tomb, Squeezing through the cracks of heavy a laden soul My God My Lord To reign with thee I must suffer Suffer heavy yolks that with thee I can bear “...I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!”

The Feelin
The Feelin
Feelin low
As the sun goes
The shadow
Finally stole
My strong soul
Now my core
Is hollow
Wanting to overdose
And fall into comatose
I’m down
Deep into the ground
As my heart pounds
Digging my grave
Feelin the wave
That destroys me in the grey
The pain
Is heavy a chain
Inside my brain
Feeling restrained
With the gain
That drives me insane...

Premium Member Chemo War 2
Chemo War 2 (some months ago)

So many months of toxic love? and radiation,
 meds, destroying disfigured foes
collaterial danage as useful cells die
and badly burnt in chemical
and radiant heat, I am drained and pale
my hair thinned, my skin red and raw
this is the final fight, the battles’ at an end,
the last scars formed, last viens pricked
tap tap tapping of the MRI with me alone
life seems now too heavy a chore...

Premium Member Angel Unaware
I saw an old man sitting by the road
His coat was torn, and his cap was low
It was clear he had no place to go
Life had given him too heavy a load.

I thought to stop and offer to share
To make his life a tiny bit better
Considered the apostle's simple letter
Possibly to entertain angel unaware

The pressure of time and place to be
Overcame my sense of charity
Only a moment to think of disparity
Before turning my thoughts to think of me....

Her Eyes
They dance and sing a merry tune
They sparkle with life, death immune
They shine like the most precious jewel
They choke my words, commanding and cool.

My jaw seems locked, lost for speech
My thoughts are cryptic, impossible to reach
My heady head bunged with clouds
My heart so heavy, a beating shroud.

An unsullied spring of purest blue
A cascade of beauty obviously true
A blink and a wink the dream has been slain
Another glimpse and I'm frozen again....
