The Silence of the Hams
a movie people praise
I cannot fathom why
as stupid people raised
such dumbos
who say "God I am just amazed!"
there must be at least one,
who says
"please my dear madames"
please tell us
who told you there were
talking hams?...

He did battle with three little hams
was embroiled in the Riding Hood scams
now slower of gait
he simply must wait
for a visit from Mary’s sweet lambs

Cold Memorial Weekend Dreams
tiny hams of garlic
towering crowns of chives
bursting busty rose tomatoes
clutching lettuce clusters
bulbous purple eggplants
hiding in green velvet
from the burning touch of sun
another cold wet morning
but hope has turned to promise
and the planting has begun...

Jammin'
Miss my music
Miss my jams
Miss my friends
Even the musical hams

Used to be weekly at least
Now once a year would be a feast

Thought my hundreds of jam videos
Would keep me goin'
Well, now I know,
And it's showin'

I'm music starved...
Seein' old jams
Is like showing a starving man
A food commercial....

Sandwich
O say can you see
those mayo layered morsels,
sour kraut or sweet hams,
the corned beef and dill pickles,
bread fed by rivers of flavor!
Lettuce praise diner and deli,
the relish and aroma between
hungry eyes and belly.
Lord who made
the pork and beef,
the sandwich maker
and baker.
for all delectable sandwiches
imagined by the dawns early light,
yea, from sea to shining sea
we thank thee.

Premium Member Polar Bear Who Eats Sweets
I am the polar bear who loves to eat sweets.
You can have hams, chickens and other meets.
I like peppermint, chocolate and gingerbread.
Especially those men baked by my cousin Ed.

I am the polar bear who loves to taste icing every day.
Frosting makes my pancakes taste a particularly wonderful way.
You can have barbequed pork, hamburgers, steaks and such.
My mouth is ready for sugars, vanilla, and a cinnamon touch....

We Are Chopped Mint
We are hanging hams, are we
in cellars off the coastal sea
licked by Mediterranean breeze

or foot-smashed grapes in Tuscany
afloat in oaken barrels, we
as flavors gain complexity.

Everyone is clever, everyone is bright
We are salt and we are light

We're the craft of chocolatiers
(from Switzerland with warm
hands on cold mountaintops.)

We are slowly sipped espresso. We are chopped mint.

We indeed are crème brûlée
formed by hand like potter's clay....
