They live but one dream - to rid this vile world of its evil veil.

Do gooders are hard to escape.
They're addicted to wearing the cape.
With less than a clue
Of what's good for you,
They insert then deny it's a rape!...

Greed feeds the cliché: nice guys finish last, there is little appetite for the truth. And do-gooders are constantly harassed, a lesson taught to intolerant youth. Facing a future anchored in the past, folks are cruel, arrogant, and uncouth. Yet, their conscience, every once in a while, assigns a moral value to a smile.

Hunger
Hunger

Red-gulletted, it can eat up a man
A five year old could defy it at will

Nothingness agreed, but they refused to leave.

Hellfires
Snaking through the embers of life,
Dwindling but evolving,
Dying yet growing,
Slithering past killers
Masquerading as givers,
Do gooders doing harm.

Selective blindness of us all,
Material riches for feed
Causing envy and greed;
Lives too short to care,
The flames keep raging
A fire surrounds mankind.

Casseroled in dishes of apathy,
The evolved cook slowly;
Technological advancements,
Smokescreens for control;
Until the masters and slaves
Perish in the Hellfires they made....
