Let's Do Lunch

lunch

I love to meet
and go to lunch
with the people
I like a bunch

I love the menu
to talk and laugh
telling jokes
and thinking back

I love to spend
the time of day
with friends I’ve missed
since I’ve been away

I love the precious
time we spend
not knowing when
we’ll meet again

This Is Who I Really Am

You love your god,
I love the goddess,
Why does this have to come between us?
You say there’s one right,
And the rest are wrong,
You think this means I don’t belong?
I haven’t changed,
I just lied,
And every time I did, I cried
You’re my best friend
I want you to understand
This is who I really am

True Friends

True friends are there for you
until the end
Yall laugh and hang out
They love to just have fun and shout
Yall burst with excitement
over all that yall do
They love just being around you
They are with you
through thick and thin
You can trust them with all your sin
When your in trouble
and you need a hand
You can trust
that I’ll do whatever I can

Friends

They say they love me,
but i wonder if its true?
"Shut up!" "Stop being stupid"
I dont understand why they fight.
I cry,
i shake,
i slit my wrists until they bleed bright red.
They dont know they do this to me.
they continue to say "i love you"
I hate the fights they get into.
I fear for all our lives
"Your okay" they say
But i really wonder?
Am i okay?
Or are we and the intire world in danger?

For My Most Dear Distant Friend Linda Marie & her Love Ron

Only excellent expressions,
Come on our lips,
To wish you a life,
Full of love and cheerfulness,
And may Joy come,
To stay with you,
And with your love,
As a gift of God
And Good wishes from us.
This is a very small Gift,
For Linda and Ron,
Not from me only
But from the entire
Poetry Soup.

Consumed

In this life
i feel the suffering
i understand your pain
and i know that

you love all you can
these feelings are here
you ache within
and try to care

but your heart it breaks
it hurts
it aches
everytime you say goodbye

trying to find yourself
day to day
learning to deal
with the way you feel

Let yourself breathe
and love
dont fall away
stay clear of the fire
try not to consume the flame
