under hair dryer
silver hair covered in foil ~
highlight of my day

Satan holds the key
To the damning of evil
Do no foil with him
For the end will come swiftly
And pain will be all you know
Russell Sivey
Gilded with gold foil
disfigured for most twilight
In the August Heat.

royal boil foil trouble
put this man inside a bubble
hang him to a tree
splash some frog newt tea
stranger to these woods befuddle.
There once was a buff metal coil
whose gal was aluminum foil.
She was his sunshine.
He sprang for the wine,
all's swell 'till they run out of oil.
Foil off, dark rich
teasing, like R rated films.
I always crave more.
Shiny lizard climbing up my wall
attached with nail, without pain
stoic and unyielding
glowing so happily
excites me today
entertaining,
lizard shape
foiled
tin
pair of amber jades
set in glistening black foil~
rats scurry in fear

Won’t slip from
Mind’s eye of yore
Won’t let foil
The cull I’ll make
Live for truth
Not for figment
Just leave the past behind

A piece of decadent chocolate,
delicately wrap loyalty;
A gift box of golden foil
makes anyone light up;
Melting on your lips
you take it in;
Savoring
true love’s
bite.
Fresh fish garnished with pepper,
Pepper and spices,
Smeared with brush strokes on the fish,
It can be foil-wrapped,
Or placed directly
Over heat,
Plunge!

Muffins on my mind today
Flour and sugar, hey, hey, hey,
Lemon, banana, or chocolate chip
In foil cups that are shiny hip
Enough for neighbors on my street
Will they want a pumpkin treat?
The purple sweet potato
All hail the royal
Sweet potato in my red
Supermarket cart
Wrapped with foil and baked to
Its coarse, velvety goodness

i can smell her chocolate and peanut butter as i enter the grocery store
do you smell that?
sweet salty Reeses peanut butter cups
i envision myself unwrapping her aluminum foil
bite sized?
heck no!
Sometimes life seems to slither along so well,
Other times it appears to be some ethereal foil
And all I see is the vanity of the fleeting breath,
The uselessness of labor and the airs of tiring toil.
Flaunt not your flavour
Filial fellow.
Flay not your friend
Fuming figure.
Follow not the foe
Faithful flock.
Foil friendly fires
Formidable fighter.
Frolic not in frivolity
Future father.
A drug dealer, some wasted cash, a plastic bag,
a lighter, a glass tube, some foil, a syringe,
a glass pipe, toxic crystals, dilated eyes,
endorphins, paranoia, addiction,
a pandemic, Crystal Death; harsh poison!
So, where is all that oil?
Please, share if you know!
Is there a camera to foil?
Let the world see the show
Living beyond our everyday
Can soon present a problem
Adjustment is the only way
May we all help solve them
SOIL
I am planting my soul onto the miraculous soil
To reap the fruits of golden oil
There are many challenges that we have to foil
Nothing left for you to refocus to boil

Love laughs at life,
Scorns the scourging whip of years,
Dulls life’s sawing knife
And watersheds its tears.
Love smiles at death,
Soul withstanding soil,
Heaped upon the flesh whose breath
Expires. Love’s Death’s foil.

mouth stuffed?
cheeks puffed?

clown nose
toy cars
gold stars
knickknacks
thumbtacks
foil from
chew gum
day care
au pair
sitters'
jitters
firepit corn-on-the-cob
cooked with husk still on
wrapped in foil with water
thrown into the coals
cook thirty minutes
butter, salt
ahh!

I will be your Olive Oyl
Slim as spinach reed,
Cling to me like plastic foil;
Bluto quarantined
Old maids can deny my fame
Need I flaunt my charm?
Two men fighting for my name,
Olive, take my arm!

finally reached
your sensitive soul
gravity pulled us down
fate tore us apart
we wrapped our love in foil
to avert its spoil
