Old ships come to die
on a silent beach;
once they ferried freight.
Side by side, they lie
broken hulls; now each
bide their rusty fate.

Immortal Queen Elizabeth Ii
Your life's twilight on a
September evening came.
And ferried you were by
crimson cherubs; conveyed
in splendour on a celestial
cruise, to gates pleasant for
a permanent reign.
Your reign on the throne
on a September autumn
exited,
but your indelible legacy
in the hearts of Brits
is enthroned gloriously....

Terri To Trump
Terri To Trump

Terri to terrible Trump was married
When over threshold her he carried
Trump had not paid his bills again
And into the lake they both fell in
Then from it they both were ferried.

Jim Horn

Here we go Trump ti Trump.

On Reading
On Reading Voyages ‘pon seas Of ink and tide On journeys O’er oceans wide In time transported By imagination ferried To exotic ports and To treasures buried Made of paper and page A fragile craft No more than a hand span From fore to aft But a transport no less… Through both space and time Crewed only by a lone …And inquisitive mind…

Esther Ngozi Ogbonna
It was indeed an odyssey of excruciating
pain, reluctantly embarked upon
that led to an abrupt farewell
that got you ferried in splendour
by His majesty's service 'HMS Life Eternal'
by your guardian angels maneuvered
on her maiden voyage.
Congratulations for your newfound bliss and
world of non-existent tears.
You have meritoriously earned the Saviour's
warm embrace,
as we look forward to sharing this idyllic world
with you.
Happy eternal vacation to you mom....

When I Die
When I die
Do not remember me
My corpse will not care;
Do not draw me back there
With words you never said
While I drew in air;
Spare me the ceremony
And all the orchestrated grief.
If you go on with your funeral show
Stopping your mouths for a moment or two
I doubt the angels will be impressed
With a moment's self-restraint
They will look on with stolid eyes
Bearing with you for a little while
Until the time comes
For you to go,
And for you to be ferried
To the fires below....

Let me tell you my story
Not that it covers me in glory

Looking to be ferried across a river
A frog took me on board as long as I stung him never

Halfway across we were chatting happily
When the temptation to bite his neck came snappily

And loth to miss such a chance
My fangs plunged him into his death dance

Just in time to reach the other side
Before his strength ran out and died

So my lesson to all with a power to use
Never turn up your nose and an opportunity refuse....

Seek
Seek the treasure, however buried
where lie the childhood echoes
reverberate, gently ferried
across the gulf of time.
Hear the voices, softly calling
in tones of misty deja vu,
resonate as night is falling
a sweet, beloved nursery rhyme.
Seek and find the memory stirring,
party streamers, blue and gold,
intimating, shadows blurring,
laced with tender tears.
Days of thunder fall to stillness
in arcs of rainbow solitude,
generating wish fullfillness,
holding back the fading years....
