I flee the jaws of Time's story
As they snip me apart twig by twig
Black Roses nesting
In the flesh that was broken
Sand sweeps in, questing
Eternity's whittling me down to a sprig
An Enting lost in a paper factory
Red-headed, brown sugar drops on nose
Taller, taller, taller he grows
Big brown eyes, braces on teeth
Wax in ears, boots on his feet
(Observing my grandson sitting in the ENT office to be told that he has some
hearing loss from constant allergy, infections, and middle ear infections.)

A-s the new dawn is breaking;
S-unlight shines to share
E-leventh January morning.
E-vening shadows have faded, mist and haze disappear;
M-erry mood of the moment adds another fruitful year.
S-ent greetings warm your heart,

E-veryone is singing and wishing,
