A storm is brewing on my forehead
formed of sweat and dust
Rising passion meets the volatility
of a condescending mind
A thrust of bottled up frustration
releases fumes of mental rust
Powerful turbulence of breakdown
in communication takes wind
The dynamics of emotion renders
our reasoning capacity blind

soulful
spirited
a go-getter
raising her children the best that she can
Mae
angry
often down
tired a lot
her child finds his own food at young age
Lynn
watcher
tries to help
cannot take sides
as their mother she is in a pickle
Bill
often
intervenes
this is okay
because Sue and Mae are both Daddy’s girls
A group has a dynamic
That gets set as time goes by,
But sometimes something changes;
Then we sit and wonder why.
A member of the group departs
Without an explanation
Despite the history of
35 years of duration.
We can’t expect to stay the same
For people grow apart,
But it only takes one apple
To upset the applecart.
There is a pulse,
Here in this space;
Ebb and impulse,
Rich with deep trace;
Move with the beat,
Opt for a swirl;
Do watch the heat,
Yield buzz of world;
Note the firm pitch,
Aim dense and deep;
Mind the hot niche,

Resentments tucked away that you
