The pale half-moon,
like a swag of sheerest organdy,

an ornamental drape
on an ethereal window.

Oh,dreary day,no light from sun.
Clouds drape over land thine air is one.

Pillow Talk

Dreams
Waft
Downward
Billowing
As the bed sheets drape.
Fold in the sides - tuck the corners
For only then will my wrinkled thoughts be neatly made.

Premium Member In Ironic Drape, Ropes Hang

hard against the wall
the seat of death finally rests
in ironic drape, ropes hang
wicker basket waits
a twist, a turn, beheaded
mans inhumanity dealt

Premium Member Frozen In Crystalline--Number 4

Tassels of flakes studded in pearl

Drape the lane where ice-capped elms unfurl.

Untitled

The light of the sun
shines a warm, bright
heat to a bedcover
stitched in flowers.
I sleep by
a blue
flower drape.
It comforts
the fresh
sunned skin.

Premium Member The Calm Before

a storm is brewing
 gothic billows drape the sun-
     churning glints of jade
 jagged winds inhale; all still-
     a distant siren echoes

Blue

Like a solemn drape on a weeping sky,
a rain of insight as vast as the sea,
with a belly brimming with hidden truths—
of sorrow, stillness, hope and loyalty,
and of wisdom, freedom, and clarity.

When a Mirror Speaks

cheeks
frame the miles
which they see.

lids
shield,
drape,
and keep.

lashes
brush,
dust,
and sweep.

tears
wash,
cry,
and clean.

but when a Mirror speaks,
the eyes say
“woe are we”

The Escape

Vanished glitter, evaporated beauty and shape
Faces that the fabric of wrinkles of agony drape

Tormented and anguished soul in the body’s unsightly prison
Without the succor of death is there an escape?

Moon Drunk

Moon drunk fool, you hide your pain gloriously. I adore the way you drape your words around the night and make mellow poems to soothe the sting of this lunatic lovelorn lousy life.

Folds of paper edges in shape
delicate tales of intricate drape
thousand beautiful Origami cranes
holding hearts in wedlock chains

Grand Theft Glory

Everyone is brave
inside the café
Tall glasses of courage,
fear toasting itself
The sound of the motors,
the drape of the muleta
A court full of jesters
—reliving the lie

(Amtrak To 30th Street: May, 2021)

How It Feels

Little girl, fallen angel,
Lie down here,
Open your eyes,
Your legs,
Drape them around me.
Think of England,
Think of how much it hurts.
Bite your lip,
Swallow
The Blood.
Does this feel better?
Do you like this?

Premium Member Lost

I can’t remember myself
I’m lost
in the attraction
the bleeding need
the dirty impolite hunger
make me somehow matter
soap me with important gifts
drape me brilliant feathers
curves that bedevil
make me pretty
to him

Premium Member At Pain's Edge

Dark cloud clumps drape the rising sun
Deep within the hollow heart they burn
The scene of silver lined art-form
The new day gets from the storm
Joy flashing as the lightning wedge
Strife-surged life finds at pain’s edge

Horizon to skyline traversing panoply of greenery
High over verdant land they drape an elegant catenary

Stark constructs of geometry stand noble tall and fine
Their mission for the nation to forever hold the line

Premium Member Weather Or Not

Cold winter's breath blows
Icey fingers decorate
Dark clouds forebode snow

Both Mind and Body

Both Mind and Body

Had seemed to be physically out of shape,
And with death remember having a scrape;
Missed next curve;
Started to swerve;
Found dead and body over wheel did drape.

Kind of reminds me of Tiger Woods.
