Dozed
The icecream man takes a quick doze
Suddenly, fell and broke his nose
Blood oozes everywhere
Held his nose in the air
Now his ice cream is red like a rose...

I Lost a Poem
I heard a poem inside my head.
But as I dozed, my poem fled.
It drifted off and I think I know,
where my poem chose to go.
Because while I slumbered in my bed,
it found a home in you instead!...

Wake Me
Wake me if I've become stationary,
satiated with the ordinary.
Nudge me if I am complacently numb,
ungrateful and obliviously glum.
Unfold my eyes if they're mindlessly closed.
Wake me from heedless sleep if I have dozed.

I Dozed Off Drunk
I dozed off drunk and had a strange dream,
Two people are fighting in my inner realm
One wanted to sleep, the other to piss,
I told them with anger-" Be quiet, please"
In the morning I found: - how they were a wise
And which after fighting handpicked compromise....

Beauty of Emptiness
the caged bird dozed
in the beauty of emptiness
stitched by the dreams of
desires the depth of the sad eyes guides
music from the touched
hearts kindly emancipated
to the bosom of the cloud
rain released the longing
soul of the tormented path
to a new bliss of faith

Limerick: Once a Mum Mademoiselle Rode In a Metro
Limerick: Once a mum Mademoiselle rode in a Metro
for Heather M.
Once (a) mum Mademoiselle rode in (a) Metro
Felt snug and dozed dreaming of Brando
Lights went out, the train stopped
Coach temperature dropped
She woke up in arms of Eskimo.

Drowsy Dream
Crescent moon has inched up
and away and
gone to bed.
I slump down in fatigue
and start dreaming
I'm awake.
Lazy breeze is a soft strand
of cobweb on
my nape.
Midnight has long dozed off,
dawn yawns from so
far away.
I sense the warmth
of my loyal dog there
at my feet....

Her Last Goodbye
She was leaving
She was tired of believing
She was leaning
She smiled
She tried
She cried
Goodbye
I did try
I am dry
Her eyes closed
She was froze
She dozed
She was gone
She was done
Her beautiful tone
Her face is bare
We do care
We were to late
Goodbye mate
This wasn't her fate...

Cold Winter Shower
Conscious breezy plight
Into the cold, icy lake.
Eyes closed,mountains dozed
I emancipate my love,
In nakedness of my soul.
Tempting blue mystery
Fierce, glitters, water pure
Threaten of stillness.
Quiet wintry waves, fallacy
Drifts my body, like careless.

Santa's Broken Horns
There was a gallant Santa, a Viking
Reindeer driving his sleigh started limping
They got stuck in stack of snow
How his horns broke he didn’t know
He dozed off after a bout of drinking.

Change Is Not Progress
To them it was a weed
That grew up there from seed.
It grew just over here
For only half a year.
A victim of the race
To "beautify" this place.
Replaced by plain old sod
A lawn both long and broad.
A place for us to walk
And maybe sit and talk.
Gone yellow, green and brown
They 'dozed that sunflower down.
All in the name of progress.
How misguided!...

Summer Day
we hid beneath the lilac forts
our books in hand
cool and dark we read and dozed
made up stories
looked for fairies
when the hot afternoon passed
we came on out
ready for some cold water
whats for dinner
lets go swimming
and Dad would meet us at the pool
big and handsome
we knew to swim just out of his reach
paddling furiously
and then
the big belly flop
he was in!...

Saving Grace
Wending her way westward, wafted on whispering wings
Sailing serenely southward, slithering past secluded scenes
Nudging northward, noticing narrow, noctilucent moonbeams
Edging effortlessly eastward, entering ecstasy's eerie baleen...
Grace dillied and dallied, then dithered and doodled and dozed
Could Heaven's Handiwork save her? ~ Neither angels nor seraphs know...

Sky Has Darkened
The sun has just fallen and the moon arose
The night sky has darkened and has become black
From light of the candle I seemed to have dozed
Darkness has taken over, taken me back
My orange pumpkin’s glowing right next to me
Taking me into dream’s sweet tranquility
The night air is very cool, calm, and peaceful
Jack-O-Lantern’s equal and quite powerful

Mario Kart
I was playing my Nintendo
controller in my hand
I guess I dozed off
to Mario Kart land
It was Donkey Kong Stadium
I was in the lead
no one could catch me
as I reached maximum speed
Approaching the finish line
I heard a thundering squreech
slamming into the back of me
was my opponent peach
Everything went dark
and when I opened my eyes
I had fallen off my bed
only a dream to my surprise....

The Flavour of Spring
Winter is gone now;
Small buds in Earth's womb,
With their red, blue heads,
Proclaim she's pregnant
After a long time.
Mating with sky,
And April rain,
She derives joy
In giving birth.
Fertile smell,
Sweet and mild
Pervades me.
Eyes touch
New leaves,
Dozed.

It Comes Like a Thief
I was lying on bed
Facing the all white ceiling
And my eye picked a lizard
I zoomed in once or twice
And closer the reptile came
I saw it nod, it was thinking
Next move, my sleepy head waited
Sooner, off, into Dreamland I dozed
My eyelid dropped on both
Slumber comes like thief
Now should I remember the dream
A crocodile chased me
I jumped enough to wake
Up the all white ceiling
There was still the lizard
Asleep this time...

That Forgotten Scent
~/~THAT FORGOTTEN SCENT~/~
In the dim yellow light
I saw you heading towards me
With a back pack
But to ask for the reserved seat besides!
The modest approach
The way you sat aside without a wish even to touch
The way you cared each time I dozed on your shoulders
Taking care of me to notice not
Makes you man
That hidden forgotten scent of your perfume
I wish to leave me not

Smoking In Bed
One night a man smoked while in bed.
The next day his kids found him dead.
As he smoked, he dozed off and his bed went up in flames.
A great man is now dead and he only had himself to blame.
His poor children cried and cried.
It really hurt them when he died.
It's a damn shame that this man didn't survive.
If he had been more responsible, he would still be alive.

PEOPLE.)...

HOLIDAY ROMANCE
A young lady, quite fancy-free,
Was seeking romance by the sea.
She hoped some young man
Might have the same plan.
Que Sera, what will be will be.
The third day a man caught her eye
And she smiled as he passed her by.
At breakfast they talked
And later they walked.
He seemed to be her sort of guy.
After lunch she dozed on the sand
And woke to a wandering hand.
The scene that ensued
Was really quite rude.
So the last line had to be banned.

Dream
Before she laid herself
Down to sleep
She knelt and prayed
And went to sleep
And she had thoughts
Of the perfect man
Of what he could
And what he can
She then dozed off
And it was dark
But shed some light
On what to spark
She saw the guy
That stood right before her
She was impressed
And truly blessed
He was down to Earth
Yes he was low
And she loved
His lyrical flow
But who’s the guy
And the girl that dreams
Go ahead and ask
And I’ll tell you what I mean...
