to distant lands, leaving the nest empty.

until down the years lonely and long
when third generation buds blossomed,
albeit in the alien garden so far away,
to me the colors of joy drifted along.

The smile of grandchildren on ipad I see
each morning flashing like dawning sun.
From gloomy horizon of emptiness I rise
while the aura of delight embraces me.
