the young lillies
groweth fast, faster
than the lightning’s
fastest strings
drawing the heart’s songs
a-home to the garden –
when the gardener’s
home-call bells ring
my soul, couldst thou
then be a-member’d
in the shepherd’s fold?
o, let’s be, soul, let’s be
for the full’st rewards
