Heralding the beginning of the day,
a turtle dove coos softly
from a tree branch nearby

Honey Bunny infant coos gently,
Then sunny eyes roll— hiccups funny.

Ah, who dares to call him a big bear,
when he eats a chocolate eclair?
He drops it on his red shoes,
to hear the pigeon's coos...
then smears it all over his brown hair.
mourning dove coos
face of gray sky
sound echo
heavens and clouds
early solitude
bird’s chorus
solitude early
clouds and heavens
echo sound
sky gray of face
coos dove mourning
He woos her with his smile.
Time coos mile after mile.

A mourning dove coos
Its distinctive tale of woe
At the break of dawn

Aah!
That fatal slip
tongue's tangled trap
bites back
revealing duplicitous
whispered coos; confessions
of brilliant, enthralling lies
suspected, yet undetected
until,
like a prized peach pit,
her name is slip spit;
intended as that
of mine.
Only at night
She hunts and coos for what she needs
A lover or to feed
Bright eyes and feathers easily ruffled
Not one to avoid a scuffle
She is strong yet so endangered
Her wisdom engulfs her daydreams
Only at night shes wide awake and dreams

My piano plays from the composer from full moon for you
My harp heart elegantly elaborates love for your handsome true
My body bursts in a bountiful orchestra of a break-through
Our saxophone souls swoon together in pearls of doves' coos

A sudden wind ripples over the staid waters
whipping around like a blustery drama queen
flinging water droplets in its wake.
Placid pigeons are suddenly stirred
wild wings whir, along with excited coos
as the midday sun smiles through the clouds.

time opens her delicate
wings transporting
us from the
incessant
fury
of the shattering waves
blades of tiny green grass
caress
bending rays of gloom
words of silence
destroying the eloquence
coos of babbling
infants
gliding fishes drink
from the oiled ocean
and perish

Patio furniture dotting the curvature of Gaia's voluptuous breast
She smiles as it rusts while we war and we fuss
Clambering for what trinkets are left
She hums, coos and sings with each moment she brings
Selected from a chaotic choir
When she misses a beat
We all squirm in our seats
Vicariously feeding the fire
Some hear the songbird call,
then seek to capture her melody.
They lust to cage her and
name her Love.
NOT I.
For my search has long been silent.
My Dove coos
when the World is quiet.
She yearns like me
for one Soul to share.
Then leap and fly free.
Cooing not mourn,
but to be found.
Birth
O, JOY
Baby boy
It walks and talks
Never screams or squawks
It smiles and coos
Makes firm poos
Sleeps well ~
Too
She laughs when she's about to cry
She does what she has to,
no matter the task.
To the sick baby she coos.
She doesn't get much pay
but thanks God it's enough
to pay the bills
She's the one who's tough.
Tell me who the stong one is
She never lets anyone down
She has a heart that only gives
I'm the greedy one in my town.
A lion roars, a mule brays
A lamb frolics, a horse neighs
A dog barks, a wolf howls
A snake hisses, a bear growls
A calf bleats, a rooster crows
A moose bellows, an ox lows
A turkey gobbles, a cow moos
A mosquito buzzes, a pigeon coos
A cat meows, a nightingale sings
An alarm clock rings ~ Dawn takes wing
Above a weeping cherry tree,
whereof storm clouds depart their ways,
a dove extends a mournful plea.
A love, in quietude, delays.
He weaves a mansion, weather prone.
Free leaves descend against his will.
He grieves a heart he's never known.
She leaves a feather for a quill.

Birds seen flying together in large flocks tonight
Words of warning sounds emit as coos and cackles
Herds of cows start running toward the barn door light
Blurred together as a murder of black crows and grackles

Like prayers adrift
In candles’ glow,
Our whispers rise,
In reverent tones:
Soft coos of love
And futures guessed,
A treacly void
Of nightfall words
While, sapped, you lie
With weary face,
Our newborn son
Upon your breast—
Hush, you whisper …
He sleeps.
