Old dogs are fine friends
confidants right to the last
will never betray-
spill your life secrets to dog
even old dogs provide healing.
It seems distance has grown
and I'm left to myself
it's hard to let my confidants back in
I'm used to this new silence
I'm hiding again

It might be easier to just let them go
It seems like there's only one I trust now
I talk to the trees because they never talk back. Such gracious confidants they are, so non-judgmental; never condemning or criticizing. Of course, I do realize they talk among themselves; still they keep my secrets. That’s one of the many duties of trees.

When you don't know how to end things
Do you never speak or remain a friend?
There doesn't seem to be that middle ground

And so you walk through life knowing
That you're strangers who have memories
Spirit O so Holy
The embodiment of a righteous God
All power
All Glory
I pray that God,
the source of hope,
My Holy Father will fill us completely
He will fill us with His essence
With the joy and peace
Because we trust in him.
Then we shall overflow
With confidants of hope
Through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Heroes they are,
In tragedy, angels consume us to keep heart and have hope!
