Racism

Racism can't be condoned in any way shape or form It's not who we are, it should never be the norm All equal under the law Really sticks in my craw Witnessing this arrogance leaves me to mourn

Fall From the Top

Once I was rich and now I am poor
This is the reason I am kinda sore
Money I once had and now I do not
Never again will I see my favorite vacation spot
For now I am poor and nothing I own
All of my clothes must be hand sewn
This is all new to me
For rich I once used to be
People I once owned
And now I am condoned
To a life of pity
A life all to sh itty for me
Never again rich shall I be.

The Sacrificial Lamb

flocks of sheep paused their grazing,
looked up to speak to me,
the bright moon kept watch,
like a big farm dog,
looking over a tall birch tree!
I condoned with their bleating,
of their inhuman suffering,
heard their soul’s appeal!
the green meadow fed them,
from fresh goodness of its being,
knowing too well,
that this would be their last meal!

A Lesser Martyr

Balance is beautiful,
symmetry looks clean
Perfection, unattainable
except maybe, in a dream

Love may be delicate
Yet incalculably strong
Lies can bring us comfort
when a truth, seems wrong

Denial has a reason
refusal, making sense
Acceptance is unbearable
vicarious life, might content

What really matters,
to me, perhaps others
Condemned, or condoned
poetry’s my release, not to suffer

Zen Mode

stuporous
guard down
past tendencies
rise within instinctively
manifesting as rage
condoned by ego
as being fleeting
thus leaving residue
of past animal nature
within our radiant soul

the faint traces
of identity nurtured
enables us to bilocate
between the immanent
and the transcendent

unique wabi-sabi stains
like the spots on the moon
diminish not soul’s beauty
but rather accentuate
innate luminosity

we forgive ourself

Multitudes

A multitude of raindrops
Each smaller than a pea
Can cause torrential floods
Washing houses out to sea

A multitude of white lies
Each trivial when told alone
Can stir up mass hysteria
Allowing hate to be condoned

A multitude with apathy
Each reluctant to get involved
Can result in class inequities
As the human race evolves

So, if you think that you as one
A difference cannot make
There is a multitude of history
To prove that that is a mistake

What If

What if people put others needs before their own?
Would it be condoned?
What if everyone helped those in need?
Would it make us bleed?
What if we let someone be first in line?
Should we not be kind?
What if we share with others?
Are we not all brothers?
What if we find that someone is poor?
Should they be ignored?
What if we praised the lord out loud?
Should we be scowled?
What if we sang songs of praise?
Should our homes be razed?
What if we showed others love?
What if?

Lost

In the abyss of solitude
Dwelling within the cavity of its belly
Lost through the motions
Of the emotions
In deep ulcers
Burning the repetitive throat
Spoken words kept in mind
Un-shared for those related
Could not bare the truth
So the truth is left
Tangled in a stream
Of nightmares awakened in sweat
I am drenched
Keeping it all inside
Wandering alone to spare
Those in which create the conflict
Of my realization
I have condoned
Therefore I have steered away
