A Lesser Martyr

Balance is beautiful, symmetry looks clean Perfection, unattainable except maybe, in a dream Love may be delicate Yet incalculably strong Lies can bring us comfort when a truth, seems wrong Denial has a reason refusal, making sense Acceptance is unbearable vicarious life, might content What really matters, to me, perhaps others Condemned, or condoned poetry’s my release, not to suffer By David Kavanagh

Well said David. Me I find me release in The Lord. I lay my troubles at His feet. Good job here. God Bless, JB

Thank you Judy, we all have our own way of venting or releasing our troubles, I find poetry very cathartic, you find god, and I’m delighted when people help others come to terms with life’s difficulty’s cheers David

Heya Andrea, poetry is a wonderful release from the drudge, for myself and lots of others, and I’m only too delighted to share my musings around with everyone, thank you so much for looking in, cheers David

Poetry is definitely a release, David. I came to soup right after my father died and found comfort from the friendly people here. It helped to write about my feelings at the time. Some people live in states of denial. We all search for truth, though it's sometimes hard to accept. Compelling poem, David! Enjoyed. Hugs, Carolyn

Heya Carolyn, I really believe denial brings comfort to some people, and I’m fine with that, but when they try force it on others it can become problematic, the soup is indeed a great release, we can find common ground, and great enjoyment, truth is hard to accept at times of trial, but to replace it with lies, is even harder and more damaging in the long run, cheers David

Thanks Christopher, I’m pretty brain dead at the moment, so I must suffer in silence, hopefully it’s transient, cheers David
