Lottery Loser
I enter the lottery discretely
For a dollar I do it quite cheaply
I’ve never won a cent
But this doesn’t prevent
Me from giving them my money weekly...

Rising Above
Poetry has no gender,
it seeks a higher line

Never selling out so cheaply
—as the masses would define

Bought
Please
let me
be precise~
I am the chief!
Your every wish
now lies within my grasp.
There will be no gradual
lessening of your temptation.
But feel free to keep this thought in mind~
I would never abandon you cheaply!...

Old Souls
Old souls know about money,
and run from it more than the rest

They’ve witnessed the toll it exacts,
they’ve witnessed the joy it rejects

An old soul lives on a shoestring,
tied to something that money can’t buy

An old soul is not bought so cheaply
—as that new soul that’s never flown high

(Villanova Pennsylvania: January, 2020)...

Bury a Genius In the Sky
Can’t we bury in The Sky
One who is A Genius
And simply cry
For The With-Ideas Ruinous?

Bury in The Angel’s Sky
Minds brightly lit
But cheaply cry
For ones like dark pit?

Inter in The Azure Sky,
Whom his ideas weren’t split
But drily cry
For facts that wouldn’t fit ...

Genius we bury in The Sky
To show that we aren’t as high....

Emotions
A hug as simple
Never take for granted
A smile so easy
But expensive
A hug as warm
Never take for granted
Love Loving Loved
Very scarce
Friendship is gold
Find one and keep it for life
Sex Gods powerful creation
Don’t treat it cheaply
Singleness a period of solitude
When lost you will appreciate
Children a gift from God
Appreciate and keep it....

Premium Member candy cat paw in old Arkansas
Come one, come all, down to the Candy Cat Paw!
The most fabulous kitty store in old Arkansas.
We have Animal Twists and Meow Mix too.
Mom and Dad, there are kitties waiting for homes with you.

They are being weighed and petted around.
We’ll sell them to you cheaply, by the pound.
Come one come all, down to the Candy Cat Paw!
Sugar mice are free, down in old Arkansas...

Regret
Echoing of a melody
Resonating in memory
Straw less grasped
Heart once clasped
A choice taken
An option forsaken
Soul cut deeply
Love lost cheaply
Happiness time forgot
Space of hopeless blot
Stains not removed
Lot never to be improved
Taken too long, delayed
Stitches worn and frayed
Too long seated, I have sat
My beating heart now flat
Regret gliding on wind
A pitiful thing......

The Peeve Chamber (Pt. 2)
Yes, it was love, and life, and happiness,
That's the aura, to this day...
There were even T-shirts made,
To honor it, and all it meant...
Torn down for cheaply made condos...
It lives on in me forever-
And, I'm sure, in many, many others
In heart, never to be destroyed,
Come what did, or may,
Yes, it lives on forever...
And I prefer it much that way,
And for now,
That's all I've got to say!...

Epitaph For the Hero--Wallace
Here I lay my soul to rest
in life I fought to pass the test
In the end I failed you not
but your love was for another and cheaply bought
so many wrongs i righted with my sword
its edge dulled upon your word
my shield broke when you tore my heart
but i stayed and played my part
no armor or buckler made so strong
could ever right your unfaithful wrong
of that i lay here as proof
a fallen fool under love's deceiving hoof...

Spoken Without Thought
Scattered flippant words spoken without thought
Reopening new wounds pouring in the salt
Oh how it burns

The emotion of feeling a thing again and again
Causes an upheaval of anger to surge
Makes me want to run away

Oh how insensitive one can be
to those you once loved so dearly
Cheaply the words were spoken,
how artificial the feelings one must have conveyed
To dig at a wound so freshly dug and make it hurt again....
