the candyfloss texture of the clouds
the saturated watercolors of the sunset
the shimmering stars and the way the incandescent moon hangs among them

i have fallen completely in love with the sky
for it has captivated and enchanted me

Toffee apple smiles that shine
  Bright as summer days,
Kisses sweet as cherry wine
  Warm and loving ways;
Puppy dogs and pussycats
  And eyes that sparkle green,
My Rachel is the sweetest child
  That I have ever seen.

She plays out on the garden grass,
  She dances round the house,
And when she falls asleep at last
  She’s quiet as a mouse;
