To lie
tranquil and dead~
an absence of movement
contrary to the busyness
of life....

Bees' Busyness
bothered
by their stingers
still I relish honey
better bypass bees' busyness
buzz off

Four For Christmas
In a given year
we mark anniversaries.
Hope comes with new birth.

In our busyness
it's easy to miss the One
who comes at Christmas.

As we wait in hope
to celebrate Jesus birth
don't get too busy.

There is such a rush
as we prepare for Christmas:
step aside for peace....

As a Member of Humanity
as a member of humanity
the pain of poverty
diminishes me.
give my gold away
mere things have no sway.
guard my wayward heart
from lies and coldness
indifference and busyness
that i may heed the cries
casting away pride
to cry alongside
with a new way of seeing
become a better human being....

Leisurely Easy
amid the dizzying busyness of business
neither should one live in panicky hurry,
cramming weeks into hours, years into months,

nor should one be slothful and sluggish,
rather be prudently quick to decide and act,
and then so leisurely slow to savor and enjoy!...

Your Aura
Sometimes when your life
Surrounds you
Your aura is almost
Suffocating with its busyness
So many people a part of you
So heavy and crowded
Must run away.
And sometimes with others
There’s light and space
Green fields and flowers
Gentle breezes and fragrance
Relaxation and peace
A beautiful place to rest
Intoxicating energy
Want to stay....

Afternoon Silence
Afternoon Silence By WinkofHeart (a.k.a. Brett Somers)
Whisper of the wind outside Whisper of the wind within A pause on Mother clock To breathe it all in Steady chirps beyond my window The busyness has dimmed Crests of light cross louvered shutters Letting light into my heart This moment Allowing it to be Fully awakening Calm, assurance Yes, yes, this is living...

Your Heart On the Line
the happy state, ignoring to flucuate,
the quick fix-it mentality to abbreviate,
in busyness cannot stop,
to take the time to sit down and talk,
with rushed assumptions, turning backs,
wow, ain't nobody got time for that?,
confined in mime, still standing in line,
the comfort of conformity in the song that's chimed,
would you move if it meant to step out of line?,
to prevent yourself from being paralzed?...

Do It Now
"Do it now", says a voice to me,
"Do it right now my son;
For you know not what tomorrow would be,
Do it now before the time is gone".

Tho' I, in a world of my busyness,
Wish I could lay more aside;
But this voice with a tone of emergence,
Would not let me as such decide.

"Do it now", it keeps telling me,
"Do it right now my son;
For you know not what tomorrow would be,
Do it now before the time is gone"....

Open
I've watched myself hold onto love when no one around me seemed to care,
I've asked to spend time to sit and talk, to open up and share,
It seems as if busyness rules the world, and always needs something to do,
I wish they could see The distraction it holds that detours them from the truth,
I've watched tears fall from neglected time that all of a sudden care,
If only they could turn back time, go back to meet them there,...

Tonight
Tonight I dance to the rhythm of your absence,
locked within the busyness of my business,
Our sweet melodic harmony long gone
Floating freely in the wild west wind,
My feet taps but the cold floor echoes,
No treble voice heard,
A reminder:
of skin rubbing against skin,
of heart beating to the tempo of another,
of thighs shaking and soaked
With pleasures transcending above clouds...
Tonight I dance to the rhythm of your absence....

Stir
the streets

like a mirror topped

frozen river

reflecting light

of the winter sunrise

night withdraws

reluctantly

dabbing windows

and roof tops

with its frost

paint brush

as it goes

in the zero hours

the streets

are vacant save

for the sole

delivery man

lights begin to go

on in apartments

after alarms

the hive stirs

and awakens

an hour later

reflection is lost

to the buzz

of busyness...

Premium Member Ode to Joy
Suddenly I’m walking on my own path
and hear Beethoven's Ode to Joy
as sunlight breaks through the clouds

My own path that under
all the busyness I just didn't see,
I’d been treading it for a while,
the light had never really been gone

My heart sings out with joy
"Joy, bright spark of the divine" and
"All people become brothers"
Von Schiller, lyricist
of this beautiful song,
understood it well,
now or otherwise later:
it shall be true...

Premium Member A Path To Peace
The forest path
Opens like a portal
In front of me
As I walk away
From the mundane
Into the magic
Of nature.

I can almost
Understand
The musical twitter
Of birds
As they flutter
Here then there
In avian busyness.

But birds cannot
Hurry me along
The sun dappled path
To a meadow
Filled with wildflowers
And fragrance of life
Well lived.

I think I will
Lay down to sleep
Like Van Winkle
In the warmth
Of the forest
Then anon awake
To a world at peace....
