"a Brisk Walk"

The driving rain falls

                        like bristles of a old comb,

                                                         till chills consume me...

Evening calm
Calling your name
It's almost dusk
And whom do you trust
Randomly you spread your wings
You're flying solo you're free
...free as you fly in the brisk sky

Brisk Walking

The air is here, whistling
Gently brushes my eyes
And twirls about to sing.

The grass is spritely and soft
While bluebells sip froth's juice,
Till petals glide aloft.

I race on fields undone;
With rhythm on my toes
Sweeping a frolic run.

This morning sway so sweet
Like chorus of dawn's hymn
In time with joy complete!

Afford the time:
Bring body-mind;
Reveal swift chimes,
Indulge feet finds;
Sense pulse that moves,
Keep fitness scheme.
Walk and fit grooves,
Arrive full steam;
Learn to let go,
Keep feet stretching.
Hurl and then flow,
Ends fit sweating;
Rich pulse filling,
Etch happenings.

Brisk Man From Jaipur

Two men tall,
one from here
and one from there,

in raincoats
at a bus stop,
pace and stare.

One of them
is soaked in tea,
brisk man from Jaipur

who semaphores
an anthracitic glare.
To barter for a smile

an alien’s obeisance
he, no fawn,
refuses.

The other man,
white cane and dog,
doesn’t seem to care.

Ode To Autumn

Dancing leaves
Swaying trees
Autumn time is here

Air is crisp
Wind is brisk
Gusts from far and near

Leaves fall steady
Like confetti
Faster than they grew

Gold and brown
All around
Moist from morning dew

Harvests high
Wheat and rye
Squash and pumpkins accrued

Blackbirds flee
Squirrels spree
Storing winter food

Scads of fun
In gentle sun
Best time of the year

Dancing leaves
Swaying trees
Autumn time is here.
