The Gardener
He peers into his mind
for the once planted,
the once loved,
the still flowering,
the motley,
the wilderness blooms.

The First Ever Teachers
The first ever teachers
now idle
at the entrance,
with feet benumbed.

wearing briers
and clenching our rags

Shelters mocked at us
and insults rained on us;

But I hope they fit around you like the beginning of wings—
From me....
