Unable to explain this deep set pain 

Like a hurricane mixed with acid rain

From the inhumane way you entertain

Love goes down the drain in a wet bloodstain

He’s coming back.
I’m scared of his smack.
I was hiding in the closet.
I mean it!
Mommy don’t leave me alone with him.
He always wins.
Mommy wake up!
I should have protected you,
But I was scared too.
He’s bigger than me
And he always hits me.
Mommy he seemed really mad
And your hurt really bad.
Mommy wake up!
I heard a bang.
Now I’m standing in this bloodstain.
Mommy why won’t you wake up?

Once upon a darkened night
winds that raged with so much might
there chanced upon
the ravaged tree
a soulless raven 
wild and free-

Though blinded with
tears and pain
born to life's bloodstain
it sought respite
in love and light-

This light was found
within its heart
reflections of time 
so much a part-

This raven now
flies wild and free
a beautiful rose
amongst the thorns
this I know
for that raven
