The Ravens Tree
Once upon a darkened night
winds that raged with so much might
there chanced upon
the ravaged tree
a soulless raven
wild and free-
Though blinded with
tears and pain
born to life's bloodstain
it sought respite
in love and light-
This light was found
within its heart
reflections of time
so much a part-
This raven now
flies wild and free
a beautiful rose
amongst the thorns
this I know
for that raven
has always been me-
