Premium Member pie is not exactly right

While circular area's moot
3/14 math groupies salute
Approximate pi
Which helps us get by
Since squares within rounds don't compute

Death Has a Dimension

Death has a dimension
Measureless and void
What instrument could fathom
All nullity?

Reason tries to grasp it
Sincerest faith denies it
How futile to approximate
That universal dread!

Premium Member I Ate Too Much

Can you elaborate?
When I insinuate,
Or elucidate,
The postulate,
Of the populate ,
To the proclamate,
And indicate,
An approximate,
When to inaugurate,
The officiate,
To delegate,
Or orchestrate,
Us to celebrate

Premium Member We'Ll All Become Robots

It certainly isn't beyond the realm of possibility That one day we'll become robots, it's more a probability We'll have an on/off switch And a program which Will provide us with our happy zone's approximate vicinity

Nau-Til-Us: An Approximate Creature

Nautilus, chambered.
Mathematics? Not really.
By nature only.

Smells more like…
Ah…normal distribution
(Of golden spirals).

You could look it up.
FIBONACCI? Not really.
Logarithmic coil?

Not exactly. Else
One or the other would fit.
Only nature fits.

Towers of Bees

Towers of Bees

Over the city forest trees
Are hives of bees buzzing
In cubicle stacked towers with plastic flowers,
They labor for no honey, but money.

At an approximate five they fly
For they must eat and fill cool sheets,
To dream of bowers of sweet scented flowers,
When a cubicle is their own – their home

Premium Member dollop of this and dash of that

I never measure or use a straight edge
Ruler? Measuring cup? I scoff at these tools.
I approximate everything that I do.
That is why I am a folk artist, not a fine artist.

I cook with total imprecision too
Guesswork is my best friend
I toss in a dollop of this and a dash of that
My husband runs when he sees my surprise casseroles.

If

If I woke up and worked everyday with a calm
resolute execution of plans,
or perhaps at least stayed on approximate track
with the basic things for which I stand.
If with a small grain of faith I’d hold the course
knowing that by small things come the grand.
Then I think I’d be dangerous, I finally be...
an instrument in the Lord’s hands.

Premium Member Flower Bed

She sleeps under her perennial sheets
Her mattress is six feet deep
The head and footrest approximate her size
Her hand holds a single red rose that cries

Years ago, her bed was scented
With crushed petals of a dozen roses
The happiness of her wedding day
Good intentions to which she’d pay

This pretty girl in perennials lives
In an affluent neighborhood that thrives
With rolling green hills and quiet trees
She paid the ultimate price of a rich man’s bride

Johannus Organ

Johannus organ for the Church choir
Has enough power to accompany;
Congregational singing strengthens soul
Through the spirit-filled hymnal psalmody.

An electronic keyboard instrument
Does approximate the pipe organ's sound;
Coming from the air so squeezed and compressed
Where the beautiful voice of wind is found.

This musical tool produces various
Timbres recognized by ears of brethren;
The worship service inside the temple
Is completed by Johannus organ.
