I like a challenge, me
it helps me get up in the morning. 
So your categories gave me the idea
of writing formerly for them.

With different rules to follow
With my own life, it kinda' agrees
I'd say it's an extended metaphor
but there's no tick box for allegories

So I'll start with a stop.

She felt utterly drenched 
 in his intoxicating  poetry
whetted her insatiable
   hunger for allegories'
     drunken semblances,
quenched an arid thirst  
     parched of reality,
as she fully indulged 
  a 'roused appetite
amidst gratifying
    brandied fruits &
abundantly aromatic spice
      of his arduous delights

I have been inflicted by it for forty years,
enchanted, captivated
and I cannot get liberated.
Metaphors enrich my language,

as leverage empowers my hand,
by them new things are coming to my brain.
Rhythm and rhyme  are dancing
on the precipice of thoughts

with sunlight are painting
picturesque landscapes
of imaginary and real worlds -
allegories of presumable animals and lords.

       I admire so, poets with imagery.
       And fascinating allegories.
       But me? I'm still a starter.
       Far from being a departer.

       Not here to impress!
      Just be genuinely me and
       improve my poetic finesse.

       Develop skills, and enjoy in so 
       doing.
       With all kinds of new ideas
       brewing!

He’s lying down in a canopy of torture. Thinking how could soft powdery floral memories become so torturing. He dusts them off. Desperately. But they remain unruffled. Like braided wild allegories and herbal nuance of nightmares.

my silence is screaming,
shouts of a thousand words
begging  to be released from
a motionless playground of
metaphors on swings
caught in the air on high,
similes stuck on monkey bars,
personifications which cannot
get off suspended see saws,
as alliterations wait for their
turn to go down on slides
while the allegories are
immobile on merry-go-rounds,
my silence is screaming while
animation wants to take over the
frozen picture

Tell of your fractured spirit;
They may perhaps share your taste,
But in no way
Hang stick poetry
With Shakespeare,
Like Claude Monnet
Accompanying Renata Bernal
To the ballroom.
There is nothing abstract,
Or occult
In allegories
Of men parting
And women crying
Like clouds
Hanging over Kauai.
If I desire to be pedestrian
I would walk 
The middle-of-the-road.
For Christ sake
Let’s write … gems.
If this charge is too tedious
Our job is to listen.
