The wacky world of weird,
Has never disappeared.
It remains today,
It won’t go away,
Its adherents are loudly cheered.
Institutions
Attempt to define
What is not definable
So that adherents
Might own a set
Of concepts..
Which when believed
May be idolatrous to
That which can't be
Defined...

Oh Father God, we pray for all parents
That they may be granted grateful adherents
Oh Lord Jesus, we pray for every parent
That they love their children God has sent
Oh Holy Spirit, we pray for the progenitors
That they be a role model to their successors
This we pray to our One True God. Amen.

Be it good or then bad…
defined after the fact
Acceptance—rejection,
a dog or a cat
The goals of Centurions,
or those of a Priest
Different agendas,
a moveable feast
Be it virtue or vice,
their adherents will claim
Then shout from the rafters,
to freely rename
But in for a penny,
or out for a pound
A lasting consensus
—will never be found

A message with no meaning..
In this manner religious seeds are
Planted which distort the
Full-on simplicity by placement
Of word fences and adherents..
Departure from conversations
May be a healthful antidote..
Another may be an expansive
Stance of welcome to all
Conversations as already not
Excluded..which Poetry Soup
Would likely prefer..

Honor Our Parents
God created us through our parents
We should be their greatest adherents
For we are their children, their hope & blessing
They also need our loving & caring
As our pro-creators, they are worth our honor
A great way to respect their source, our Creator
A great shame to be ungrateful towards them!

a heroine unsung.
A willing martyr
with courage
unrivalled.
Unransomed captive
with a ransom
infinite.
She gladly faces
death with eternity
in view.
Like her lover before her,
she chooses to be
a sacrificial lamb
to the slaughter.
Leah Sharibu,
the heroine unsung.
She that chooses to mortify
her passions
for timeless paradise.
Hardly daunted by
Kalashnikovs and
thunderous explosives,
she inherits a world
deemed abstract by
unfaithful adherents.
