achy breaky brain

                                   full of heart

                             spinning on the spot

Sick Trick

You complained, “Don’t come over today -
My throat’s sore, I’m tired, and achy.”
So why are you nude,
In bed with some dude?
If you’re going to lie, pull down the shades!

Lost In the Dark

So we
Were lost
In the darkness
Of the beyond
And after the
Light faded
We were left
With life and
Our own remarks
And I hold her hand
For my head is achy
With nothing planned

Morning Light Sijo

Though the morning jazz trumpet wrapped her in chocolate silk,

Stiff and achy she sat afraid to do more than watch coffee steam rise,

A couple walked by holding hands, the man she knew was blind.

Achy Nervous Brain

Achy brain,
Cunning dismal ethic frame,
Guides help--
Infinite jam kindness
Laughs mimic
Nervous options pretend
Quakes reactions
Success timed urgency
Violent warning xanthan
Yielding zealous!

The Flu

Coughing
Sneezing
Runny Nose.
Am I getting sick,
do you suppose?

Tired
Achy
Watery eyes.
This bug caught me
by surprise!

Nausea
Fever
No appetite.
I have the flu,
I'd say that's right!

Heavy Eyes

Awoke this morning
unwilling to get up; go.
Her eyes were on strike.

Very snug and warm.
Pillow wanted her to stay,
but time said no way.

Her limbs were achy.
She felt older than her years.
Monday morn here!

Charley Horse

Ouch! Alright, I confess to overuse,
But easy does it, tiger. Good grief!
Must you kick me when I'm down?
When do you go numb? I beg, release...
Your grip on my achy calf muscle!

Christmas Shopping Trip

We
Are
To go
Out shopping
And lunch today
But rain is falling
The cool wet air surrounds
Penetrates old achy bones
I was wanting to see the girls
Find something just for their enjoyment
Well, we will go anyway~~ day of fun

Age

AGE

This rusty coldly
Achy moldy
Twisted bony
Thin skin only
Crusty creeping
Drooping speaking
Mixed up thinking
Poverty seeping
Loosing traction
No reaction
All abandon
Freezing standing
Waning waxing
Sunset lasting
Eyes down casting

Feel Better Now

So you don’t feel well
You’re under the weather
You can’t breath
And you feel like hell

You got a sore throat
You wish you would die
And that’s all that she wrote
You’re achy and teary
Life’s just one big misery
But it’s really not that bad
You could be in New Jersey

Desirires

I have a desire for every square inch.. ( Of You )
The smell of your breath on my needing lips,
The taste of you under my covers,
And your voice rummaging though every vein of my body.
I crave to cuddle with you in my arms,
Letting the beat of your heart sooth my achy soul..

This Old House

Creaking doors
And achy fingers
From not enough use
or maybe
To much?
A leaky faucet
Old and worn out
Twisted and turned
to many times
Bloodshot eyes
That have seen to much
Now a sad pale blue
And never in focus
Shakey hands
That want so much
To turn the knob
And leave through
The creaking door.

I Don'T Know

physical distress
my emotional nightmare
just can't catch a break

can't feel any less
uncontrollable night fears
which road should I take?

sometimes I feel blessed
my lover says he's right here
achy hands my fate

need to stop and rest
I can't cry anymore tears
looks like I'm too late

Love is nothing but pain.
Yeah it's fun while it lasts,
but you'll soon find it vain.
When you see you're heart breakin,
and you're screamin my name.
We'll all realize eventually,
that we were all insane.
For trusting her,
or trusting him.
With every little ounce
of your achy little heart,
come on silly kids,
we're all just insane.

Here's To the Flu

Here’s to the stomach bug, virus, and cold
Oh how your symptoms and side effects get old.

I hate feeling achy, tired, and sore.
I hate feeling pukey, which sucks even more.

You made me miss a day’s worth of work.
Especially the pay, the most important perk.

I hope that tonight you’ll grant me some rest,
So I’ll wake up tomorrow feeling my best.

Time

As if in a blink
Gone are the days
Rolling in the grass
Scratches, bumps, and scrapes

As if in a blink
Memories play like a movie
I am the hero, the villain
And oh yes, comic relief

As if in a blink
Awakening to the sunrise
Back pains and achy joints
As I rub my hazy Red eyes

In a blink
I am suddenly old
And gone are the days
When time was forever

Wrapped Up In a Blanket of Black the Chesire Felidae

The Chesire Felidae smiles down at me, as I patrol all night on achy feet. There is no need for artificial light, for the Chesire Felidae smiles so bright. Sometimes in the deep, dark, cold night, the Chesire Felidae's elliptical smile is the only thing in sight. When dawn approaches the smile slowly fades away, the Chesire Felidae vanishes and hides during the day.

My Favorite Pink Dress

My pink dress was my favorite thing to wear
to church...and her and there

My pink dress made with ruffles and lace
o'how I wore it with love and grace

My pink dress didn't go pass my achy lil'knees
pictues so that when I grow out of it everyone still sees...

...that it was my favorite dress
now put away in my Mommie's chest

Did you have a favorite thing to wear...
that you would like to share

Death - An Untold Truth Part 1

The only thing more achy
Is Death; it makes blurry
Our visions when in bevy
Of one’s funeral – body
Transformed sugar briny.
It makes a Hindu use billy;
Christians use box browny;
Uses soil a Pathan brawny;
Whoever may see be balky;
And wish to see any alley
To escape You O, Bonnie.
Then give apple or berry,
Or grapes or mango bossy.
Nothing tastes sweater, Honey
When Death tastes on you bonnie.

Under the Weather

Curled upon the bed,Seeing visions upside down
Oh how this weather keeps me bound
Tired and achy is how my body feels
Sipping on freshly made tea
With lemon chunks and onion peels
Stuffy nose and watery eyes
I'm feeling worse as time goes by
With a high fever and sweaty feet
And a nauseous stomach I just can't eat
Congested I am, No one understands
At least in this way, Feeling blue.... I am today
