Premium Member She'd Pen a Sonnet
Abigail thought she would pen a sonnet
Though, alas, she really didn’t want it
        She kicked herself so hard
        But Abby was no bard
Folded it up~ made an Easter bonnet

I made a Jack-o’-lantern
With eerie looking eyes
The scooping was not wasted
For mama made two pies
We ate them in the evening
And then I went outside
I took my glowing lantern
And showed it off with pride.

All Hail Abby
All hail Abby Jones:
Her sock drawer filled with
Mundane and ordinary thoughts,
Locked in a bunker
Of imagination.
She’s confused.
She doesn’t know who she is.
Neither do I.
She wears tall socks in spring
Because she doesn’t want
To look at her ankles....

Abigail Harp
Average Abigail
Abigail Harp
Had a dog
A dog named spot

Spot could see
Abigail not
Does one simply
Turn to a bot?

Each morning Average Abby
Broke a lense in a glass
Cleaned a dish and put it in
a dishwasher?

Mirrors would crack
Heads would twist
Poor Abigail Harp
Turned to mist....

Dear Abby
Girl, where you been
relaxing to a tune

Girl what you doing tonight
Doing my toes tonight

Girl that's a plan way ahead of schedule
what time tonight

Doing what is right
absent in thought
really want to get out tonight
don't feel the thrill

Girl what you putting on
The best you ever had

Don't put me down
Just open your wings and fly...

The Book
I wrote in his book
they've all gone wild
the cabin lies in salem
there is witchcraft floating there
go at once spirits drift
somewhat bewildered
the afflicted girls
Abby conjured spells by the fire
I never see the devil
he creeps around my window
I hear him while I sleep
strange dreams
a thousand voices
cried spirits! spirits!
and the accused were hung
evil set free
its breathes it breathes...

Abby
The moment the angels,
Came and took you away,
Our life's have got harder,
And harder each day,
The tears that we've cried,
This pain that we feel,
We know in our hearts,
That we'll never heal,
But we know that someday,
We'll see you again,
To hug and to hold you,
Our love never ends,
But until that day comes,
Be strong and be brave,
When you look down on us,
Princess give us a wave.

Abby
The day became silent
not in a happy manner,
the world was lighter
not by much - but still significant,
the sound of tears falling
echoed into the night,
life once lived now gone.
How can it pass so quickly?
A decade seemed like a day,
time now frozen
in this shaken soul,
no more greetings,
no more kisses,
no more handshakes,
no more sendoffs,
no more anything,
only silent barking now.
Goodbye faithful friend,
farewell and love always!...

Abby Sunderland Is Missing
we can't circumnavigate the globe
although we'll surely try
your father has a sailboat
and I the will to die

let's get lost out on the sea
somewhere off Cape Horn
force our families to gather
in a solemn state of mourn

inform the attendance keeper
to expect absence this September
even with no accomplishments
we can pretend you'll all remember

our clear lack of gratitude
the anger kept inside
when the country is a city
on the ocean do we hide...

My Friends
My name is Abby...
I have a friend called Annie
She is very nice
Even nicer than my granny!

I have a Shopkin badge
which makes me very proud
It says I'm a bunch of fun
Which is true because I'm loud!

Milly is my friend
She is very smart
She is also smiley
And very good at art!

Maitreyi is quite violent
but very soft at heart
she loves to stab with pens
We'll never be apart

These are my friends
Until the very end
They are all very funny
Just like my mummy....
