Mozaic of Me
"Fragments and crumbs of life, all the little pieces" (John Ruskin, 1853)
Just like mozaic,
There are billions fragments of me
Some of them sharpy, some of them curvy
Sharp like dust-blades through my veins
So painful I laugh in my cryings
Curvy like my adventure scenes
So joyful I cry in my laughings
No wonder they say, never judge people
No one’s life ever simple
Could you know what’s in their heart?
Could you capture their real image inside?
My mozaic is what I am
I got one tiny piece after I passed life’s exam
Billions fragments inside and outside my skin
Already made who I was in the past
And still building who I will be in future scene
Change, is what always last

i see it glittering in my hand
sunlight reflecting off the sharpened edge
what brought me to do such a thing
my best friend, a tiny sliver of metal, controls my mind.
it makes my stomach twist and my head ache as it makes train tracks of blood
up and down my arm.
it's a cruel fascination, a deadly habit-
wanting to see red droplets ooze from my arm and edge their way towards my
elbow.
a habit that gets worse every time my friend touches my skin.
deeper, harder. i want to see what will happen if Mr sharpy and i get into a fight.
i lose all sanity, my resolve disappears.
nothing is left but i, my friend ( the tiny sliver of metal) and the train tracks made of
blood.
