Windfall

You were so loud,
shootin’ off your mouth,
’bout why the world sh-ts on you,
talkin’ old tropes
thought up by filthy dopes,
that never once were proven true.
You stood so proud,
but, man, where are you now?
Living in a poor rat trap.
Say you’re oppressed,
don’t bother to get dressed,
think government should ‘pay you back.’

Sad to say, we worked and you played,
we’re heading for a windfall,
it must burn, seeing all we have earned,
and you ain’t gettin’ it at all.
Have to say, you laughed in our face,
now we’re heading for a windfall,
it must burn, seeing all that we earned,
and you ain’t gettin’ it at all.

You called us fools,
said that it wasn’t cool
to dream big about success,
took no risk,
you’d just throw out a diss,
at all who stood out from the rest.
You feel so good
deep in your ‘victimhood,’
no sense to see it’s all a lie,
and worse you race
endless crap to this day,
telling folks they shouldn’t try.

It’s not easy,
never is, being free,
but it beats every other way,
this game we’re in,
bot everyone can win,
but all loose if they never play.
the old decree:
You don’t work, you don’t eat,
no human though can undo that.
If you remain
just a man who complains,
your whole life gonna turn out bad.
