My Somberness
The fog has come around my house tonight
From length to width a decorated dress
The scenery is shocking to the sight
Secluding every bone to lay and rest
"What shall I do", pondered my thoughts to ask
Inside this vacant shelter of abode
For I shall make a tea to meet the task
Of transcending the peace that time has slowed
I felt the furnace of an unknown power
Painfully pounding on my cellar door
What could this be beyond the mid-night hour?
That dares me to desire and explore
With open eyes the cellar opened wide
What witchcraft doth bestow upon thy nest?
That causes me to beg fear more than pride
This fictitious presumption is a pest
Soon as I lit the lantern which to see
I heard a voice chanting a psychic's cry
"His wife had put the poison in his tea
A watchful eye is now his soul, a watchful spy"
