Why Did I Become A Poet?
Books call my name,
the bookstores are not to blame.
Writing books and poems give me joy,
better than a brand new toy.
My imagination and creativity I can see,
when my red blood turns to ink as the blue sea.
Poems can take a voyage with me,
or be as crazy as a yellow bumble bee.
Writing poems gives my heart peace,
as my emotions find a release.
If it wasn't for my poetry drive,
why would I want to be alive?
