Overload
Times the world overloads me
All I see
Close my ears
Cover their tears
Seek some peace of my own
To protect me from all I've been shown
Since I don't know when
I've always picked up my pen
Away I would ride lost in some word
Only way I could be heard
I write some rhyme
To escape for a short time
Lost to me was the world around
My own world I have found
Nothing could hurt me
While in this world I be
Finally free
Away I could fly
Nothing could touch me ,up there so high
So real
The wind I could feel
The cool air
Not a care
Safe inside my mind
People were so kind
But there is a cost
In this world you could get lost
But the freedom it did give
For once to really live
Lost in a world of no pain
Nor rain
There where your lifes not a stain
No fears
But I feel your tears
Untangle myself from from this dream
Not as easy as it may seem
Finding your way back to you
When staying would be so easy to do
So true
But I need my soul back inside
Have to carry on I can't hide
Thank you words set me free for awhile
Have back my smile
See you next time
I need to get lost in some rhyme
