Perfection is a lie told by the white man

Perfection is a lie told by the white man
They say 'the fairer, the better'
But with ego comes the self proclaimed Perfection
Where what they say goes
Where objectivity is something they claimed to own
However it just goes to show pride will be their downfall
Distracted by vanity and ego
And their self distorted reflection
They painted in the mirror

Too obsessed with their own shadow
Too ignorant to see how shallow
Too privileged, too ashamed to admit the feeling of being hollow
Trying to erase being overshadowed by a black persons accomplishments
Rewriting history in white ink to feel special
Trying to win a one-sided war for superiority
Too self-absorbed to see no competition
In a race to power
To drenched in immaturity to let go
Of childish games we didn't sign up for

Perfection isn't a person you can control
It is simply determined by each individual
Not something you can own
Not something to be stolen
Not something for you to use as something black people should conform to
When in reality we are already perfect
This is the real world not some utopia envisioned by minds so vindictive

Perfection doesn't exist
Its a myth created by the white man from centuries of pent up jealousy
A tale told to create division
And if it did
The picture of perfection
Wouldn't portray the white man
It would show the timeless beauty of blackness
