WHEN THE MOOD MOVES

WHEN THE MOOD MOVES

A bland life to date, almost bleak
No vibrant colours just misty buff
Then suddenly, a big seismic shift
Feeling the dark mood slowly lift
Knowing that you’ve had enough
As finally, the inner self can speak

Sensing a warm bright illumination
It now offers one a new perspective
Seeing detail not recognised before
And tomorrow is now an open door
Even an opportunity to be selective
It surely is an overdue perturbation

Sadness that was in the background
Now comes to the fore with a smile
It’s so easy to wave goodbye to black
Just looking forward and never back
The best it has been for a long while
Such a joyful release one has found
