Deep-Seated Meaning
He left the world a bitter place
for he knew not how to smile
He went about his business dour
his manner teeming with acid and bile
The years trudged by; he got him a cane
That day his services were no longer needed
So he ended it all with a bottle of pills
With the Devil he danced and he pleaded...
I was thinking there's some deep-seated meaning
to the inconsequential life this stranger led ~
'Cos I've got more straw in my cranium
then ever he had rocks in his head
