Some Bootleg Beer

Some bootleg beer that only came in kegs
during the twenties made me think of you.
Like an old IPA, filled with hops, that I
just had to drink because it was all there
was.

Some intellectual fever.
It is sketchy, but still we tried as best we could to
attempt the Zen.

I got to call back now how it feels to feel the burn.
I've just got to imagine, but I never could do that
firsthand.

I'll just have to look back at things that I have
on my shelf, things
that were bottled up a long time ago.

I guess Robert was middle aged, and Walt was already dead,
And they already knew the science behind brewing beer.

Some bootleg beer made me think of you.

There you were, the economic picture was retched,
And it was almost impossible for too many people to find
any real job.

A lot of Wall Street financiers committed suicide and it seemed
as though the entire world was destitute.

But I thought it would be really great if I could go back
and just listen to you,
if I could.

You channeled me. Spoke to me by a special crafted
brew.

You sought to expand the boundaries that were Authentic and filled with natural scenery

The truest of the true - Thomas Cole was too elliptical.

And everything in between the past and now.

A vision... expansive
The hidden away

Children in barefoot in play outside an old barn.

The old barn beside
Where we drank.

Peace!
