Being the leader of the flock
a pillar of society
you must be aware
that the power in
your hands
can change history
the influence
and community attitude
you can instill
must not be for
your own gain....
be careful
how and what
you feed your sheep.
A-fter the night is gone,
R-ise of the beacon begins;
G-reat day February fourth
E-rases the dark ever since.
L-et sunny Saturday warm
Y-our soul and your heart;
N-o more tears and pain, as the raindrops depart.
R-esemble the firm support,
E-levate your capability;
Y-ou shall one day become
E-ndeared pillar of
S-ociety.
Seems like we've all become
A nation of ruddy pill poppers
A pill for this, a pill for that
Even sex, now that's the topper
How did it finally come to this?
The doctors are making a killing
Prescribing a pill for a hang nail
And patients are only willing
Always trusted, the family doctor
Upstanding pillar of society
That was then, this is now
Seems like a lack of propriety
The code of ethics that used to be
Are forthwith being ignored
In favour of that almighty dollar
An outgrowth we can ill afford
Old rules have been abandoned
It's all about the bottom line
Say bye bye to professional ethics
From another place and time
