If you text and drive,
please heed my advice.
A car can be a dangerous weapon
when a driver is not cautious.
Think
Before you get behind the wheel,
think about distractions.
Then, take your well-intended thoughts and put them into action.
Action
Place your cell phone out of the way,
where it cannot be reached.
While your driving, I find this action too important to overpreach.
Stop
If you must talk or text on the phone,
first, pull your car off the road.
Find a safe place to stop, don't text in driving mode.
Example
Set an example for the young,
and remember studies have shown,
there's a great chance the life you save may be your own.
