Today NYC, VA, and NJ residents voted
vindicating what’s always true of opinion polls
As hard as pollsters work to do their best
at the end of the evening
~ in the dumpster do their predictions rest
Trust Is Earned
An Opinion: by Tom
3/6/2020
Congress has become a valley of vipers,
each person has an agenda of their own.
From the halls of congress some lurk as snipers,
sharing ideas causing others bemoan.
Opinion polls show us that they're not trusted,
many voters trade their vote for something free.
Each morning's news leaves me highly disgusted,
with most of their doings many disagree.
This election cycle hasn't brought out the best,
from the very start many had no appeal.
Promises made will soon be put to the test,
promising free stuff most always seals the deal.
“When they call the roll in the Senate,
the Senators do not know whether to answer,
“present” or Not Guilty.”
Theodore Roosevelt
This is a cookie cutter culture
We all must think the same
If you're outside the PC box
Talking heads call you insane
You better hold all their values
Zombie minds.. must be lead
Christians are old fashioned
Everyone knows, God is dead
There are no absolutes today
What counts are opinion polls
Kiss the ring of our great king
Or you might end up in a hole
Blinded by group arrogance
In ignorance we all pledge
To follow cultural relevance
As we step closer to the ledge
I'm about to go James Dean
A rebel who can think and feel
Quit trying to program me
Your perfect utopia isn't real
If everyone had an opinion
how would the world be different?
If everyone gave their opinion
how would we treat them all?
If everyone asked for an opinion
how would thier lives change?
If everyone saw the difference between an pinion and a fact
how would one say, it's only an opinion in fact?
What's your opinion on this poem?
In my opinion, frankly I don't give a damn
We are an apathetic nation
give your opinion although others may disagree
