The Ride

Two of us, moving

The pulsing starts low
in the soles of my feet
and slowly spreads its teasing ache
	to my legs
	my knees
	thighs

The world falls away

Steadily the throbbing grows
	ever-expanding
	ever more demanding
Focusing all thought on its climb

	I sigh
	I writhe
Wiping the sweat from my eyes

I arch my back and breathe deep.

It's a lovely day
for a motocycle ride
