Do you feels inside's a battle?
And you just can't seem to win
One day you feel so happy
The next day you feel like sin.
Do people keep reminding you
Of the wrong you did before
And when you feel you're doing well
They just knock you on the floor.
Let me just encourage you
Your battle has been won
For our enemy the devil
Was defeated by God's Son.
Remember to be on your guard
Of thoughts that come within
For the devil longs to knock you down
And remind you of your sin.
So stand your ground my christian friend
In the armour God has given
For He has dealt with all our sin
Our Savior who is risen.
So next time these thoughts arise
Remind him what is written
For in Christ you stand today
Victorious and forgiven.
I remember her from my daycare
Not even sure if I was yet in underwear
She had blue eyes and blonde hair
I guess I was dab and debonair.
From the first day we began to play blocks
We hit the point of stealing each others socks
I could tell it was heating up
Because she drank from my spill free cup!!
At days end we were lining up at the door
She jumped in front of me as she had done before.
Then it happened, it happened so fast
It was a magical moment from my wee little past
She bent slightly forward, eyes closed, puckered lips…
I thought what is wrong with her face and hips
I did not see it coming just thought something was amiss
But she ended my day and started my life with my first kiss.
Now this tale might be a little tall
But so was everything when I was small
Her name was Shanna and it did happen in daycare
So my story is not too tall from there.

Into this life we came with nothing
and we shall surely leave the same way.
In truth, the greater matter
is what we live from day to day.
Why seek those affections which pale
in light of those things to come ?
We dine as His sons and daughters,
not foraging these fleeting crumbs.
We must see with a single eye
and nowhere be divided,
for Satan persistently seeks
for us to be blind sided.
The race is set before us
and we must be of that mind to run.
So we press ever harder toward the prize
unto the day our race is run.
The proof of this Kingdom living
is that our lives are found in the Son.
In Love, our lives we are giving
until our work on earth is done.
